This story has become so popular that Hollywood producers make a film based on it every year. Frankenstein (2025) is directed by Guillermo del Toro. If you don’t know about him, then first of all know that he has received three Oscar awards so far, which include The Shape of Water for Best Director The Shape of Water for Best Picture, Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio for Best Animated Feature and seven times the films made by him have been nominated for Oscar. The audience was waiting for this only because it was being directed by Guillermo del Toro. Frankenstein is a science fiction story which has been released on Netflix from 7th November with Hindi dubbing.
STORY
While many stories have been made about Frankenstein in Hollywood, to understand how he came to be, you’ll have to watch this Netflix film. Frankenstein is divided into three parts with the first part introducing him In the 18th century, a ship is sailing through an icy sea. Due to heavy snowfall, the ship becomes trapped in the ice. The captain exerts all his strength to free the ship from the ice, as everyone on board struggles with cold and hunger. When they reach the scene, they see something burning. A man named Victor appears injured there. The captain, realizing that this man has been tortured by a demon, brings Victor aboard. Shortly after, the demon appears before the captain and his men, and upon seeing him, the captain orders him to be killed. Upon receiving the captain’s order a hail of bullets starts on the devil. But he is a devil whom no one can kill. Slowly he climbs the ship and kills many people. The devil has only one wish, he wants Victor, then by mistake he falls down from the ship. Then the captain men pull up the staircase attached to the ship and attack the ice covered sea with bullets. Due to the bullets, the sea ice breaks and the devil goes under water.
Victor tells the captain to hand me over to that monster or he’ll come back again. He’s impossible to kill because he created him. What happens next is for you to find out by watching the film.
What is special about the film?
We’ve seen Frankenstein in many Hollywood films, but this time the story is a little different, featuring a scientist named Victor. Victor discovers things no one has ever imagined, such as the ability to bring a dead person back to life using electricity. The creators have tried to give the story of the devil an emotional edge. The story evokes fear from both humans and the devil.
Cheating death can be so detrimental. If dead people start coming back to life, God’s protocols could be completely disrupted. The makers have made this dream world absolutely real through excellent VFX. The best part of the story is that it cannot be predicted. If humans can create machines, then machines can also take over humans. I found the best part of the film to be its emotional climax. The film’s beautiful presentation manages to connect with the audience from start to finish.
Technical Expectations
Frankenstein is a technically strong film, with its color grading, cinematography, editing, music, and visuals all perfectly executed. The film is beautifully divided into two parts, with the first part depicting Victor life and the second part presenting the life of the devil.
